Welcome!
We're over here building things
If you’re reading this you either know me or came across my DIY on Instagram and wanted to know exactly what that paint color was I used on my kitchen cabinets.
I decided to start a Substack because it gives me more room to write in detail about the projects I’m working on, the ones I’ve completed, and all the in-between decisions and dilemmas. It also has the added benefit of helping me (mostly) quit Instagram.
So if you want to know what stain color we decided on for our doors, what paint color we used in our nursery, and just how I painted all those dogs on the wall, it’s all here. Subscribe to get an email from me every Thursday morning about something I’m building.
When I’m not working on our house or taking care of our baby boy, I’m probably down a research rabbit hole working on my next novel. I earned my MFA from Temple University in 2020 working with Liz Moore—author of Long Bright River and God of the Woods. I’ve spent my entire writing life devoted to telling the untold histories of women who lived in the shadows of famous men. I’m currently working on my third novel and hoping that this one has enough of a commercial hook to land me an agent. While writing and books aren’t the focus of this Substack, if there’s interest, I’d be happy to share in the future.
